School

I go to the University Washington, where I will graduate in 2012. Most of my time on campus is spent in Ballmer Hall, but soon we will all get to migrate over to Paccar Hall! The new building is going up quickly and looks like it will be a good space for the business school.

Work

I taught skiing at The Summit at Snoqualmie for two years starting when I was 14. The most important lesson I learned is skiing should be enjoyed, not a job.
Over the last three years I worked for Foamheads, which makes some pretty interesting foam hats for football fans.
This summer I have been in Encinitas, CA working with my brother’s companies FM Solutions Pro and iDONATEpro. We have been working hard and are just finishing up initial development on iDONATEpro, a FileMaker application for political campaign fundraisers.
Play

Sports have always been my passion. I used to play a lot of baseball, which has smoothly transitioned into intramural softball.
Recently I have been getting into triathlons. So far I have attempted (and completed!) two of them and plan on doing another September 2009. They are a ton of fun, and the best part is the positive motivation to exercise through training.

I have been working on a skateboard powered by a radio control model airplane engine (OS BGX-1). I expect it to reach around 30mph on flat concrete and no, I do not expect to ride it that fast. It has been a lot of fun putting it together and was inspired by an extra giant-scale engine laying around in the basement.
